CEREC 3
Creating crowns can be extremely complicated and take a considerable amount of time because various impressions are needed. Temporary fillings also need to be placed first. With this technology we can replace worn or discolored metal crowns or repair a broken tooth in one visit instead of sending it to an outside laboratory for a week or more.

The computer-controlled CEREC 3 System can create strong, natural looking all-porcelain crowns in minutes in our office. The patient relaxes comfortably during this process.

After the natural tooth structure is prepared, it is scanned with an electronic camera that allows the patient to see the image on a video screen. The restoration is designed from this scan and then automatically milled (sculpted) out from a solid ceramic block. This is accomplished so precisely that it can be accurately fitted and durably bonded to the prepared tooth.

We always want to conserve as much of the tooth as possible. Only the smallest amount of tooth structure is removed. We focus on the portion which is unstable or diseased.

DIAGNOdent
Among the newest technologies is a small laser instrument called DIAGNOdent, which scans your teeth with harmless laser light searching for hidden decay. This new technology helps detect decay in the early stages to prevent a problem that may require more extensive dentistry.

Air-Abrasion
Comfortable dentistry was a goal in years past, but it has been the latest technology that has achieved significant, noticeable changes for patients. Removing the noise, vibrations of the drill, and the associated heat sensitivities can be accomplished more often with the "small abrasion technology" we now employ.

This state-of-the-art system uses a pressurized stream of tiny quartz crystals to prepare the tooth surface for better bonding of restorations. It removes discomfort and it's a conservative treatment for dental decay in its earliest stages while preparing the tooth surface for natural-looking composite 'fillings'.

It's very helpful in esthetic procedures for shaping and contouring of ceramic bonding materials or to etch porcelain crowns and veneers to create a natural and healthy look, feel and function. It hasn't completely replaced the conventional drill, however, our patients wouldn't want to go back to those days before high-tech solutions.

Digital X-Rays
To provide the highest level of safety possible, we use Computerized Digital Radiography (CDR). CDR technology eliminates the concern about radiation safety because it requires 90% less radiation than conventional film x-rays.

Digital x-rays provide our patients with the level of care they expect and deserve. As technology leaps forward, Armbrust Dental will strive to stay in front.

Intraoral Camera Exams
Technology gives patients and dentists, like Dr. Henley, who choose to use it tremendous advantages. Deciding on what will best accomplish your goals can be daunting. The intraoral camera provides the kind of evidence you need to make an informed decision. Besides our written documentation and conversations, we can now add visual evidence to your resources for determining the care that is best for you.

The intraoral camera, about the size of a pen, lets you see up-close exactly how your smile looks, and the condition of your teeth, on a television screen. Dr. Henley also increases his diagnostic capabilities. He can now see smaller cracks and possible decay that might have gone unnoticed in years past.

I.V. Sedation
Anxiety, nervousness and fear of pain keep many from receiving care that can save or create a smile that can beam more confidently. Dr. Henley is certified in I.V. sedation. From extensive esthetic or restorative treatment and surgical care to those with extreme anxiety, I.V. sedation can provide complete treatment comfort. Patients will not remember or recollect any portions of their treatment in the sedated state.

We also use nitrous oxide(laughing gas) and provide other comfort amenities before, during, and after treatment. Let us know about your concerns and we can develop a plan to make your visit and care as relaxing as possible.

Instrument Sterilization - Safe Water
Comfort comes in many forms. Our sanitary standards create a worry-free environment that extends comfort even after your visit. All non-disposed instruments are sterilized by an ultrasonic cleaner for germ-free use. Our AquaPure, self-contained water system creates 99.9% pure water for use in all treatment situations.

In addition, we wear gloves and masks during patient examination and treatment. Each exam room fixture is cleaned and sanitized regularly to eliminate bacteria and its development. Our safety standards meet and usually exceed ADA recommendations.
