Practice Manager and Certified Dental Assistant
Sarah makes sure our office is running in top condition, and helps out everywhere from scheduling appointments, or making financial arrangements to training the staff. She still gets in some chairside assisting if needed. Sarah attended the University of Nebraska-Lincoln and graduated from Southeast Community College-Lincoln in 1993. She and Dr. Henley were colleagues for many years before she took a hiatus from clinical work to pursue teaching at one of the local Dental Assisting programs. Now back at our office, Sarah uses her teaching skills to educate patients about all aspects of dentistry and how Dr. Henley can give them the smile they’ve always wanted!
Sarah grew up in Crete, Nebraska and now lives in Omaha with her husband Jeff, son Geoffrey, daughter Alyssa, Luther the black lab, and Otis the cat. Sarah is active in her church bell choir. She participates in volleyball, and swimming. Most of all, Sarah enjoys the summers with her children at the pool.
Amy went to Simpson College and Metro Community College, receiving her Radiation and Coronal Polishing Certifications through Creighton University, and has been working as a dental assistant for over 19 years. She assists Dr. Henley during patient procedures and makes sure each patient has a comfortable and pleasant experience. Over the years at our office, Amy has made some very special relationships with our patients, and she especially enjoys the variety and uniqueness they bring to our practice each day.
Originally from Iowa, Amy married an Omaha native. They enjoy traveling and taking care of their two Mini Australian Shepards, Buddy and Chanc. Amy’s other interests include cooking, reading, and camping.
Darby is our dental hygienist, having graduated from the University of South Dakota in 1990. She has worked for many years as a hygienist, taking some time off to raise her family, and is very happy to be back! Darby’s responsibilities include taking X-rays, cleaning patients’ teeth, performing oral cancer screenings, and educating patients about oral hygiene. Most importantly, she gets to know each patient on a personal level in order to provide them with the best possible customized care.
Darby has been married to her husband Nick for 27 years. They have two boys, Gavin and Blake, as well as a cat, a dog, and a rabbit! She volunteers at her kids’ schools and activities whenever she can and enjoys attending the boys’ activities. Darby and her family love spending time outside. They spend many weekends in north central Nebraska, have a cabin near Gross, NE for weekends of hunting and fishing, and go to the lake at Ft. Randall Dam in South Dakota.
