CEREC Technology

CEREC stands for Chairside Economical Restoration of Esthetic Ceramics. This technology lets us design, create, and apply tooth restorations in a single appointment. Our machine employs advanced digital imaging software to create a 3D model of your crown. We can make these highly detailed images without taking messy impressions.

FAQ

What is the CEREC dental crown procedure?

First, we’ll remove some enamel from your tooth and reshape it to ensure the crown fits properly. Then, we’ll design your custom dental crown using our software. After, we’ll move on to the milling process. We’ll choose a ceramic shade that closely matches the color of your other teeth. Then, we’ll place a block of crown material into our in-house milling unit. In about 15-20 minutes, it will shape the material to be an exact match of the digital model.

The last step is placement. We’ll bond your custom dental crown to your tooth, polish it, and check the fit as well as your bite. Since we create your crown in our office, we can make any necessary adjustments right then and there.
